1300 witness the startling speed of defeat of a 3p by the current "tartrate of Tygem": swing(P) 9d vs. hua 9d
Another sensational game from what I would like to consider as the tartrate of Tygem, swing(P)/ioiwin(P)! If you have read my previous article, you will see that there is strong support that he is very well Lee Changho 9p, but of course since it is not quite confirmed, I have left a ? in his image, adding to the mystery. Black is hua, or Zhou Zhenyu 3p, and is also a popular player on Tygem. Both have fantastic stats, but it is worth noting that swing(P) has an incredible streak of winning 19 games and losing only 1 (to hua earlier!) in his most recent 20. There have been a few moments when swing(P) has had a perfect 20/20 in his streak, so without a doubt he is top class and popular, garnering over 1300 observers together with hua!
Regarding the game, both sides begin a game with large portions for both sides. There is an early ko in the game, but it is hard for me to determine who got the better deal out of it. The game is fairly standard until the middlegame. Move 64 is a shape tesuji covered in many textbooks and worth study for those not familiar with it. Black plays somewhat risky with a middle group that required some care after invading at move 87. Move 99 is a tesuji worth remembering and is discussed in "Train Like a Pro: Haengma". However, in the process, White found himself in a bit of a bind himself as his group on top of black wasn't quite alive. Near the end, some thought move 113 was the closing clasket, but there is a fairly predictable (but still beautiful) tesuji to counter it and is exploited immediately, causing the other to lose the game in only 114 moves.
