"Tartrate of Tygem", swing (Lee Changho?), wins again
Background:
After a brief two day break from playing games, the "Tartrate of Tygem" has returned to win his 5th consecutive game. Note that, out of the last 37 games (that is the limit to which I can view his games), he has only lost 5 games in total. Some might certainly consider swing(P)/ioiwin(P) to be on as high of a level as 철이(P)/Marriag(P), who has also won many games as of late.
But is the so-called Tartrate of Tygem on the same level as Lee Changho? Many speculate that the two are the same person, and swing(P)/ioiwin(P) is undoubtably a top class player.
As we continue to ponder the possibility that swing(P)/ioiwin(P) is indeed Lee Changho, let's study his games carefully. There's certainly a lot to learn from this mysterious person, no matter what is true identity is!
The black player, 69205041, seems to have not been 9d for that long. His record as a 9d is less than 50%. Nonetheless, we've seen in other posts here on GoSensations.com that even professionals like joonki can slip down to 8d sometimes. In any case, 69205041 is still a great player!
In this game, white builds a large framework in the upper left, ignoring some of black's moves along the way. The move at B9 is also an interesting one. White plays the multi-purpose move of G12, allowing his group in the bottom left to be attacked. Black makes efforts later in the game to invade the massive framework in the top left of the board, only to be killed in the end.
There's a lot more to this game than what I've mentioned, so be sure to take some time to analyze it well! Enjoy the game!
