Around 400 observers gathered to watch today as yet another mysterious 9d player from Japan known as mario3 showed strength and expertise on the board.  Having a win percentage of around 60% as a 9d, mario3 seems to be on around equal ground with at least a handful of the known pros on Tygem.  Furthermore, as of late, he has been winning a pretty good amount, having a number of mini winning streaks to be seen in his game record.

To add to the excitement, mario3 9d's opponent has been on a winning streak, having won his last 9 games in a row straight!

In this game, black starts out with the popular Chinese opening, developing at a pretty quick pace up to move 11, and later makes large potential with move 25 right below the tengen.  White invades, while black attacks, making for a great show for the spectators, including myself!
