Was StressBall 9d stressed about the result of this 0.5 point game?
Two faces that I had never seen before showed up at the Tygem arena this afternoon, attracting several observers, as is usual for 9d players. The white player goes by the id, 미친척춤을/MLoBaby. I had a difficult time finding much information about this player, but he seems to have only been playing since around February. Still, his game history is quite amazing. I can only provide speculations about his name, 미친척춤을, but I'm sure that this phrase is probably well known to native Korean speakers. My best guess is that the phrase has something to do with a "crazy dance", since the 미친 part can be used for the adjective, crazy, and 춤 is often a type of dance. Again, native speakers can probably help you out with the reasoning behind his name better than I can. As for the "MLoBaby" part, I have no idea about the meaning :-p In any case, 미친척춤을/MLoBaby's game history is quite good, having several winning streaks, even as a 9d. It is not common to see more than two consecutive losses in his game history, even.
His opponent, StressBall 9d, seems to be a strong player from China. His game record is also commendable, having about a 65% win ratio as a 9d.
The Tygem spectators favored white via the betting statistics 61% to 39%. Even so, black and white fought tightly, ending with a difference in score of 0.5 points.
