"Black (Lee Changho?) cannot win", claims 3d spectator
Suspected by some to be the world renowned Lee Changho, swing(P)/ioiwin attracted at least 625 observers this afternoon in his game against a Chinese professional known only as rlkrlhy(P), whose identity is not known to me, having played only 13 games in total.
The game is quite exciting, both players starting out by building frameworks on the left and right sides.
After having caught a group of black stones on the right side, rlkrlhy(P) was favored by the crowd to win. One Tygem kibitzer shared this sentiment, saying at move 139, "흑이 이길수없다", which means, "Black cannot win".
But black patiently continued, despite the public opinion, threatening to make a large amount of center territory. A ko in the bottom left followed, allowing for white to capture three of black's stones in a ko threat. But black maintained pressure on white, saving three stones at the top left, and also his previously captured group!
Black later continued with a 3-3 invasion to secure even more territory. White took the opportunity to attack black's top side, leading to a ko where black threatened white's bottom group. It seems that white thought that the white group could still survive, so he ignored the threat. Alas, the situation ended in a ko, where black filled, thereby killing the bottom white group. White was unable to kill black's top group in the end, and resigned.
Is this stunning player really Lee Changho? His record is surely strong, and the link between swing(P) and Lee Changho seems to be the strongest public consensus among guesses for swing(P)'s true identity.
What do you think? Does this fit Lee Changho's style?
