losing to a stronger player also decrease your KGS rank, but to a less degree, than loosing to a weaker one.

Maybe he would get easier 9D on KGS because of KGS-Rating (when he never plays against weaker ones, his rank never decrease), the more interesting question would be:
where is it easier to keep his 9D-status, on KGS or Tygem?
