All of the above

Famous players, players with good win records, and translations of commentary are good for studying (well-known players are usually famous because they're strong; high win record = stronger than the other really strong players = very good to study).

Interesting or creative play is good for studying too, but hard sometimes.

Translations of names provide good flavor.
