Fake ranks on KGS

We have some very strong 7-dans on KGS like LeeKibong or Artem92, but sometimes 7-dans are close to 4-5 dans

Black 37 or 59 - both moves are really slow and bad.
At the end Black was about 50 points behind - he lost that
much in peaceful game, without big fights, so it means that
the difference in Go level is big. Not all 7-dans are close in strength ...

What a huge surprise, a fresh account, 7 games played, 10s SD blitz and the rank is not accurate!
This says absolutely nothing about the ranking system.
Although there are fake 7ds around, this is not such a case, and his rank is stabilizing at 5-6d anyway.

It's not problem of players but system, strong players like Artem who play a lot need to win straight huge number of games (maybe 30+) to get promotion to next grade

I think it is important to take into consideration the effect of blitzing in the game of Go.

Plus, many other factors can affect online playing. Not everybody plays under the best conditions. There might be other people around being a nuisance, it might be late for one of the players etc.

If you just study one game, you can't really get a sense of a players strength.

Plus, some people seem to only play blitz games. And might have done so for years. Their rank effectively is "how good they are in blitz games". Suddenly when they try to play slow games, their games really breaks down and they seem 2-3 stones weaker.
