Cornel Burzo - is he real 8-dan on IGS? I heard that Cornel has a honorary 8-dan rank on IGS - pro level rank, which helps him to find more students. Is it true or not? I don't know other details, but here is the game he won few hours ago against 7-dan (without komi). It was an easy game for Cornel. If he can beat 7-dans that way, Cornel's 8-dan rank seems to be real. What do you think?

Only possible explanation I can think of.

I've seen him drop to 7d* and then play back up into 8d*... watched the games. He's also 8d* on other high quality servers.

Well,I think Cornel is a real 8 dan on IGS.He beat a lot of strong players in the past on internet and in real games.I think students like him for his flexible style and for his seriousity.
