bigbadwolf, 9-dan and his reading

Even kyu player will notice that F1 kills that group.
It's the second basic L&D misread, made by bigbadwolf in his micro-match
with "able" (see my previous post).
Maybe he needs some L&D practise. Books for double-digit kyu players
may help :)

And personally I have nothing against bigbadwolf. I never meet him before, but I am sure, he is a nice person.
If you check my Go4Go comments, you can see lot of good words about his games in the last US Ing cup. Such as "perfect game", "Black played without any mistakes", and so on

Yes Wrenn, you are of course right. It might just be the earlier article about the computer program (stopgo) that set a bad tone.

When dealing with an online (or any written, not oral) communication, it is easy to mistake people's tone of voice. However, if you read this article assuming a good intent, it seems funny (what with the ":)" at the end), and if you assume bad intentions it seems sarcastic. The choice is one of the readers, and he cannot help which way people decide to view him.

I thought it was a humorous pointing out that sometimes even very strong players make basic mistakes :)

Yes, I agree. The DGS games are a great thing, and I don't doubt that Dinerschtein (you) indeed contribute in many good ways.

As I said, this can just be a language barrier thing, and his/your intentions are not to be rude and arrogant. But when I hear so many people talk Dinerschtein (you) down, it becomes apparent that he/you might want to phrase his/your intentions better.

Or one can just ignore what peoples opinions are and move on.

(Sorry about confusing way of writing both to Dinerschtein and whomever else reads this. 4 AM and not in the mood for being creative.)

I also commented thousands of pro games for Go4Go members and found thousands of mistakes, made even by top 9-dans. Maybe they are also angry ...
It's if someone decides to comment my games, I am always happy to read these comments and learn.

In fact, breakfast did set a good example. He is playing more than fifty games on Dragon and he also finished many games with no money involved.

Well Dinerschtein, you so much love to see pro players play online. Why not set a good example? If you are only going to play for money when people give you a challenge, some might say that you are not playing in good spirits now a days.

Especially since it seems you draw a lot of anger from players all over the place. When I started playing I had a lot of respect for you as a player, but wherever I go I only hear people talking you down, and when I started reading these articles on Gosensations, I really believe you either have an attitude problem, or that there is some kind of language barrier that makes us misunderstand your intentions. But yes, this article comes forward as being rude and arrogant and is not in good spirits and this coupled with actions lately sets a bad light on the Go community of the west.

Now maybe it is out of place for me to discuss this here, and this was not meant as a personal attack, but maybe you need to be shed light on how people feel about how you write these articles.

Maybe your intention is to just be funny, but it does not seem that it registers on people that way.

On a different matter, regarding this match. It is hard to judge online matches. As you never know what lies behind them. We all have our bad days, and we all have our days when we play in a room full of annoying people when we really should be doing something else etc.. Not everybody gives 110% on every match online for whatever reason it might be.

Sometimes we do idiotic things like playing a quick game while we wait for dinner, starved and not really concentrating, just passing time. Surely BBW also has these moments.

And if you find the sponsor, I am always ok to challenge bbw :)

Good reading, Tim :)
You can ask bbw to give you his L&D books after he reads them :)

Tim, wouldn't black play G4 instead of E1 after G1?

F1, G1, G4, E1, H2
