Don't use your head - use databases instead. Even if you are 10d IGS! It's allowed now?!


Dear IGS administrator "tweet", if you read this article, please ban top IGS players snow5,10-dan and pero3, 9-dan.
They use databases while playing on IGS. Or is it allowed now?
You can check their previous game posted on GoSensations and compare it with Kitani vs Iwata game, played in 1958
First 94(!!!) moves are the same!
I am pretty sure, that it's not possible to repeat all these moves by luck. It's clear, that both players used databases!

I knew it! Cheaters found!. Those two always play handicapped games so I've always had doubts about their "strength". My guess would be snow5 and pero3 are same person. Belive me sometimes I use this "trick" on KGS to move up ranks when I couldn't find an opponent.

Yes, that was my game and I used the database. Shame on me!
I just checked KGS rules and did not find is it allowed or not:

Anyway you must know that backpast or these IGS 9-dans are not the first one. But it's still rare, if both players use the database at the same time.

On 2009-02-11 in the news sections of KGS on this site he indirectly admitted himself to be using databases during play on KGS. Using databases on KGS is just as frowned upon.

In particular, this concerns the game dotanuki 7d vs backpast 9d, on 2006-01-22 resembling Dong Yan vs Kong Jie, 2001.
