Batoo League – Season I > will begin on May 29.
Any Batoo player, who has experience
of 30 games or more, are entitled to take part in the primaries regardless of
sex, age and nationality. Fierce battles are expected between
famous professional players and amateur users both in South Korea and China.“Automatic Random Match” tool,
adopted for the first time in the game industry, is anticipated to prevent
abusing.
A month-long journey to the finals,
the online primaries will be held from 4:00 p.m. to midnight every day until
June 28 on the Batoo Channel.
As many as 140 high performers out
of those who played more than 100 games during the online primaries would be
allowed to advance to the next stage, or offline primaries.
The 2009/2010 World Batoo League
(WBL) offers a total of 1.2 billion Korean won as prize money (300 million won
for each of the three Seasons and the Final Round), which is one of the biggest
around the world for e-Sports as well as similar types of strategic mind games
including Baduk. WBL – Season I champion will take 150 million won, or half of
the total prize money up for grabs in WBL – Season I.
