Why is it bad to have lot of separated groups on the board? You may check the final position and get the answer easily. Black saved most of his groups, but how ... There are 5(!!!) groups with just 2 points of territory. White got a lot by attacking them! So, if you plan to win your games, don't create too many separated groups!

After 50. move black plays h8, white g9, black b2 and white is dead....
