'Korondo' 9d Wins Epic Encounter (vs. 'ericdai' 9d)!

'Korondo' (Kim Youngsam) is a true superstar now; he beat almost all the top KGS players and is currently no.2 in the official Top 100 KGS Players list. (We will publish an exclusive interview with him soon!)

'ericdai' (Junfu Dai) finally returned to KGS, after a four-month break. He was one of the strongest players on the server a couple of years ago; he used to play many promotional games for the Go Forum http://www.goigo.org/.

It was not really a great return match for Eric: White was always in complete control of the game. Black made a strange move in the opening - B25 (usually Black must extend at F16) - and the result was not good for him. White's attack in the middle-game was impressive (W60 and W66 made the game hard for Black as he had to take care of two weak groups...). As was said during the game:

K2R [8d?]: b is getting powned

In the end, Black's dragon ended up being killed, leading to an early resignation by Eric. Korondo's play was very nice, and even 'MilanMilan' recognized that he is a possible candidate to win the EGC-2011:
