Coming soon: Interview with "RustySword", 9-dan. Ask your questions here!

"RustySword" is Oh Chimin, former Korean insei who stays in Germany now - currently he is one the best players on KGS and in Europe.
We will publish the interview soon and you can still add your questions, if you have any.
Please post them as comments to this article.

If you could play anyone you want, who would it be?

mmg, I only know basic josekis that I picked up because they are repeated in every game you see/play really, and I'm euro 1d, but I think that you can get to 2d or even 3d "without learning any josekis" even.

I'm not sure if such abstract questions are ok, but:

There is a saying "99% of chess is tactics". Where would he estimate this number for go? Pro games, title matches can look like a reading contest - how much space remains for strategy at these levels?

Hello,

watching "Hikaro no Go" and/or reading books like "The Treasure Chest Enigma" we all have a rough idea how the insei- and pro-system in japan works. I assume similar thinks can be applyed to the korean and chines insei- and pro-systems.

I would like to know how strong of a KGS player you think one would have to be to have a fair chance of passing the inseiexam or even passing the proexams in korea.

@ chostyle
I'm glad that you are offering your help. Lee Chang Ho 9p in the interview was asked the same question (what is the fastest way to get stronger) so I think I can address this question to Oh Chimin to know his point of view. There are no silly questions there are silly answers.

I often get nervous when playing and get to anxious to win, resulting in a lot of stress in the body and this makes me tired. This makes me enjoy the game less, especially serious tournament games

Do pro/insei get any advice/training on this?

@mmg you cant become strong if you dont know any josekis .you will stay weak i think ^^

@Noth1ng it is very important to play a lot ( if youre beginner,sd Kyu or Dan-Player) .
Life and Death problems are also veeeery important ,espacially when your dan player.
The other things like fuseki and fighting you can study as well , but you will learn it also in the games you play or if a stronger player review your games.

I answered your questions because i think this questions are asked so often and Its not so hard to answer them also for a weak dan player like me ^^
I think this questions are not so good to ask in a interview with Oh Chimin .

Hello. What's in your opinion fastest way to get stronger?
By playing a lot of games does one get stronger or is it necessary to combine it with studying and solving problems?

Oh Chimin ( Rustysword) and some other Korean 7dans wanted to make a Go Camp in Berlin and they wanted to teach there players up from 3 Kyu to high dan level.
But then they didnt do this , and i dont know the reason .
I would like to know the reason why they will not make such a Go -Camp in April

and if they will make Go-Camp at another time
