"Mymy", 9-dan - is he Chinese?

Few years ago mymy, 9-dan was active on KGS and he was one of the best players on the server. We don't know him, but what do you think about this explanation by Diana, 1p. I asked why do they call Mok Chinseok, 9p - "Mumu"

"About Mumu.. It's simple. It`s from his family name Mok - Mok's kanji is
read as mu in chinese.. and in China, they often gives nickname by making
double from their name: so it became MuMu :) "

I cannot read Chinese, but can someone propose kanji for "My"? Maybe he is Chinese?
