Just for the record: It wasn't after Zchen resigned that Hemmy mentioned the handi. At move #148 Zchen made a last desperate monkey jump on the right. Then Hemmy actually offered a stone for capture and said "i give your 2stone handicap." A most embarrassing moment of humiliation.

There was a story
Right after zchen resigned his match against hemmy, the pro engaged in a little trash talking claiming he could give zchen two stones. The game against BBW immediately followed. As the score was counted, Andy threw it back in his face, saying "I give you 2 handi"

Giving 2 handicap after barely winning with 0.5 ?
Besides, I always considered BBW to be a somewhat polite opponent. He wouldn't show such blunt behaviour.

Is it possible hemmy was planing on winning the game by only 0.5 and just miscounted ?

I doubt hemmy considers bbw a serious opponent. He just played carelessly in the beginning. Normally there should have been a pincer on the left somewhere. If bbw seriously thinks he is stronger than hemmy then he will probably never improve from a strong ameture rank.
