TheCaptain is insei now. He is learning dirty joseki tricks from breakfast :)

TheCaptain is Dino Mario Cremonese - amateur 5-dan from Vancouver (Canada).
The president of two mineral exploration companies (Teuton Resources Corp. and Minvita Enterprises Ltd.). He is the member of the Insei League on KGS (B group).
Learned Go in 1972, reached 5-dan in 1977. Best tournament result: 1994 Fujitsu cup in Houston, beat Janice Kim 1-dan pro in even game.
As TheCaptain noted " I have more time now for learning Go and I would like to become stronger". Insei League is the best choice for him! He can learn lot of useful trickmoves here :)
Like this one. Was it nice? I got nice wall, sente and ko-aji in reserve.

In my comments after the game I explained how it was possible to avoid this hamete (?). Or , maybe, it was not hamete?

Yes, other teachers only review the games during lectures.

Ok, you're right.

btw Are you two the only ones in the league teaching by playing ?

As you may notice, our second sparring partner - Ilya Shikshin (roln111) does not use any trick moves. He uses his groups-killing power instead!
It's good to have teachers with different styles. You can check his bloody game with TheCaptain here:

Being insei = learning dirty joseki tricks?

Lol, goddamn, who's paying like 100$ per month for that?

I just have to comment on this. Congrats TheCaptain, didn't know he was such an epic oldman!. Kinda sad he is still only 4d on KGS after nearly 40 years (I guess there was a break). Go Captain!.
